Program Description
NC Home Cleaning provides SMS text message notifications to customers who voluntarily opt in to our messaging service. Messages are sent to keep customers informed about their cleaning service bookings and account activity.
Messages may include:
- Booking confirmations and reminders
- Contractor en-route and arrival notifications
- Service completion alerts
- Live service update notifications (when enabled)
- Scheduling changes or cancellation notices
Message frequency varies based on booking activity. Typically 1–5 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply.
How Consent is Collected
Customers provide explicit, informed consent to receive SMS messages through the following methods:
Account SMS Preferences
After creating an account, customers navigate to their profile settings and explicitly enable SMS notifications by providing their phone number and toggling on their preferred notification categories (booking reminders, live updates, completion alerts). This is an affirmative opt-in action — SMS is disabled by default.
Phone Number Verification
When a customer provides their phone number for SMS, the number is stored and associated with their account. Only verified phone numbers receive messages.
Consent language shown to the customer:
“By enabling SMS notifications and providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from NC Home Cleaning regarding your bookings and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.”
How to Opt Out
Customers can opt out of SMS messages at any time through any of the following methods:
Upon opting out, the customer will receive a final confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent unless they re-enable notifications.

- We do not share or sell customer phone numbers to third parties
- Phone numbers are used solely for service-related SMS notifications
- No marketing or promotional messages are sent via SMS
